Stevenson is home base for TriState Dump It — our yard sits right here in town — and it is a railroad city to the bone. In the 1850s the Memphis & Charleston and the Nashville & Chattanooga lines joined at this spot where US-72 now crosses AL-117, between the Tennessee River and the foot of Sand Mountain. The Union Army fortified the junction with Fort Harker in 1862, and the 1872 Stevenson Railroad Depot — built where the original depot stood, now the Stevenson Railroad Depot Museum and the centerpiece of a National Register historic district — still defines downtown. Every June, Depot Days turns the streets over to music and a car show. Today's Stevenson adds a working US-72 commercial strip, the headquarters of North Alabama Electric Cooperative — the member-owned utility serving some 18,000 members across the region since 1940 — and neighborhoods of longtime family homes climbing toward the mountain. Our work here is the full local mix: estate cleanouts in those homes, contractor containers on the highway corridor, farm jobs up AL-117 toward Flat Rock and Bryant, and storm cleanup after valley weather. When the truck comes from five minutes away, scheduling stops being a hope and becomes a time of day.

Delivery, pickup, disposal, and 14 days are included in every Stevenson rental:
$250 with 2 tons included. Garage and carport cleanouts, a bathroom gut in a historic-district house, or the brush pile from a Crow Creek bottom cleanup.
$325 with 2 tons included. Multi-room remodels, rental turnovers between tenants, and most single-story roof tear-offs around town.
$415 with 2 tons included; extra weight is $75 per ton and extra days are $10 a day. The whole-house estate size and the contractor standard for renovations along the US-72 corridor.
$625 with 4 tons included. Demolition, commercial build-outs, and farm tear-downs up the mountain roads — one set that finishes the job instead of three that almost do.

Stevenson pays the same flat rates as everywhere we serve: $250 for the 12-yard, $325 for the 16-yard, $415 for the 20-yard, $625 for the 30-yard — delivery, pickup, disposal, and 14 days included. Being our home town does not change the price; it changes how fast the truck gets there. Overage is $75 per ton past your included weight and $10 per extra day, stated up front.
A single room or a garage: the 12-yard. Kitchen-and-bath work or several rooms of flooring and plaster: the 16-yard. Gutting one of Stevenson's older homes down to the studs — lathe, plaster, layered roofs and all — is 20-yard work, and adding a garage or outbuilding to the scope pushes most people to the 30-yard.
On your own property, no. A container in a city street or right-of-way is the only placement that needs the City of Stevenson's okay first. Downtown's older streets are tight enough that driveway placement is the practical choice for most in-town addresses anyway.
Yes — concrete, asphalt, and gravel driveways all take our containers daily. Valley soil near the river can soften after heavy rain; if your drive is low or newly built up, flag it when you book and the driver, who likely knows your street already, will pick the firmest line.
US-72 is our front yard. Retail build-outs, warehouse and shop cleanouts, restaurant turnovers, and contractor sites along the corridor are steady Stevenson work, including multi-container sets with swaps scheduled so your crew never waits on a full box.
Yes. Limbs, brush, storm timber, and fence-row clearing all load fine. Dirt is not a dumpster item, and stumps count as heavy freight — for land clearing toward the mountain, a 30-yard with a planned swap is the efficient setup.
No hazardous materials: paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, fuel, oil, asbestos, or electronics. Everything routine from a Stevenson project — lumber, shingles, drywall, metal, appliances, furniture — goes in. One call to (256) 548-6021 settles any questionable item before it becomes a pickup-day problem.
Fourteen days, included. Estate work in particular takes the time it takes — sorting a family's house is not a weekend assembly line — and extra days run $10 each with a call before pickup. Nobody from our office will rush your project for a penalty fee; the rate is the rate.
Two tons come with the 12-, 16-, and 20-yard sizes; four tons with the 30-yard. Plaster-heavy renovations and shingle loads are Stevenson's usual heavy hitters. The scale weighs every load, overage bills at $75 per ton on the actual ticket, and the ticket is available if you ever want to see it.
All four are regular Stevenson routes: Bridgeport minutes east on US-72, Bryant and Flat Rock up AL-117 on Sand Mountain, and South Pittsburg across the Tennessee line. Our service area is the whole northern end of Jackson County and the Marion County valley — not a dot on a map.
Contractors and landlords are the backbone of our Stevenson book. Landlords use us for turnovers and eviction cleanouts; contractors run standing swap schedules on longer builds. If you manage property anywhere between Scottsboro and South Pittsburg, one call sets the container and the schedule.
Yes — a renovation cleanout is exactly that mixture: furniture and household contents in with lumber, drywall, and fixtures. Keep the hazardous list out, load the heavy material low and level, and one container handles the blended job.
Book on the online booking page in minutes, call (256) 548-6021, or — this being our home town — expect the person who answers to know exactly where you are talking about when you describe the property.
Filling early gets a swap, usually fast — the yard is here, so an empty container is a short drive, not a dispatch negotiation. Going over weight gets the scale-ticket math: included tonnage off, remainder at $75 per ton. Both are everyday outcomes, priced in plain sight.
Home renovations, moves within town, and business overflow use our mobile storage units — $175, billed every 28 days, set on your Stevenson property and loaded on your timeline. It is the storage unit that comes to you instead of the other way around.
US-72 job sites, Depot Days events, ball fields, and farm work run on our porta potty rentals at $140, billed every 28 days — delivered clean by the hometown crew and serviced on route.
